Parc de la Boverie is located between the Meuse River and the “Dérivation” canal and is a beloved green oasis in Liège’s Outremeuse district. This scenic park is perfect for leisurely strolls and family outings.

Originally home to a zoo and small eateries in the 19th century, the park was transformed in 1874 by G. Blonden, who replaced the structures with lush lawns and trees. The northwestern part retained its natural landscape, while the southwestern part became a formal garden, renowned for its pergola and rose garden.

In 1905, the park hosted the Universal Exhibition, which led to the construction of the Palais des Beaux-Arts, now known as La Boverie Museum. This museum, opened in 2016, showcases fine arts and hosts international exhibitions, making the park a cultural hub.

Visitors can enjoy the picturesque rose garden, the Nicolas Schöffer Tower, and a modern pond. The park is accessible via the Mativa footbridge and the Belle Liégeoise footbridge, connecting it to various parts of the city.
