Het Park, Rotterdam, Netherlands

In the heart of Rotterdam, right next to the Euromast, you’ll find Het Park — the city’s green gem. It’s big, beautiful, and full of life. Designed in 1852 by father and son landscapers, the Zochers, this park is all about peace, nature, and charm.

Winding paths lead past ponds, towering trees, and open lawns. Sculptures pop up where you least expect them, like the playful Lost Pearls by Madeleine Berkhemer or the statue of poet Hendrik Tollens. There’s history here, but also space to picnic, jog, or just sit and breathe.

Since 2022, Stichting Het Park has cared for this national monument with love and detail. A team of gardeners, artists, and volunteers keeps it thriving. From music festivals to poetry walks, there’s always something going on.

Grab a coffee at Parqiet. Join a workday in the garden. Watch herons by the water. Het Park isn’t just a park — it’s Rotterdam’s backyard, open to everyone.
