Grand Ducal Palace. Luxembourg

The Grand Ducal Palace, constructed in the 16th century on the grounds of a former fortification castle, has served as the residence for numerous rulers, symbolizing the monarchy’s traditions in Luxembourg. Destroyed in 1554 and rebuilt 20 years later, it underwent extensive restoration from 1992 to 1995.

Today, the palace functions as the residence for the Grand Duke and Duchess, alongside serving official purposes: it houses offices and state halls utilized for meetings and audiences.

During the summer, the Grand Ducal Palace opens its doors to visitors. Inside, visitors can explore lavish halls embodying the grandeur of ducal authority and wander through meticulously maintained gardens surrounding the palace complex. Guided tours last 75 minutes, with adult ticket prices set at 15 euros.
