This picturesque harbor is one of the most beautiful spots in the city, perfect for both residents and tourists alike. Located near the Grote Kerk, this harbor is filled with pleasure yachts and stretches from the Engelenburgerbrug to the Aardappelmarkt. At its center is the Lange IJzeren Brug, a charming cast-iron bridge that provides fantastic photo opportunities. It’s a true Instagram hotspot!
Dug in 1409, De Nieuwe Haven earned its name as the “new” harbor alongside the Voorstraat Haven. The Engelenburgerbrug is a movable bridge featuring an Art Nouveau-inspired design.
De Nieuwe Haven is surrounded by cozy terraces and excellent dining options. Nearby attractions include the Simon van Gijn Museum and Museum 40-45, as well as the Dordtse Rowing and Sailing Club.
