Bois de la Cambre. Brussels, Belgium
Bois de la Cambre is one of the largest parks in Brussels, covering an area of 123 hectares.
The park was created in 1861 based on a design by the German architect Édouard Keili, in the English landscape style.
The goal was to turn part of the Sonian Forest into a city park while preserving most of the trees.
Today, it’s a favorite place to relax for both locals and tourists. Here you can watch birds on the lake, feed squirrels and ducks, and often enjoy various cultural events held in the park.
